Since the beginning of construction at 25 Walnut, so much of the work initially has been electrical. Within the first several days, we had 33 house lights installed in our new Worship Center. As you can imagine, having these dimmable house lights will be incredibly helpful to controlling the ambience of the room for various ministry needs. We're very excited about having this flexibility that is custom-designed for our church.
We also are making preparations to add air conditioning for the Worship Center, and in doing so, we had to run a pretty heavy power load up to the roof. There is a tall, skinny silver pipe that is carrying the necessary wires to provide power to the air conditioning units once they are installed later this month (you can see this pipe on the side of the building). Kerry Lanthier, a media volunteer for the CrossPoint Campus, has been incredible in completing these two jobs with excellence. We are grateful to his company for making our ideas a reality – and we will probably have a few more projects for him before all is said and done.
In the interest of protecting this new facility, we are also adding some security systems this week and next. We want to take care of the things that God gives us (of course) and so adding a few layers of security to this facility are things we believe to be wise investments. But it's not just the facility we care about; it's the people in the facility that we care about too! Whenever you have little ones (especially) in your building, you want to do everything you can to ensure their safety is a number one priority. I want King's World and Shine! to be the safest places in Lockport for the children and young people of Lockport to be – and we are well on our way there.
So, from among all these wires, I want to thank you for your prayers, your support, and your encouragement. We are so excited about some opportunities in the near future for you to get involved and get working. More information is on its way. In the meantime, remember why we're doing all of this: to leverage our facilities so that we can reach every man, woman, and child with repeated opportunities to hear and see the Gospel. Let's get after it!
Together for the Mission,
