Feels Like Home

As I write this (9:15am), we are exactly 48 hours away from our first worship gathering here at 25 Walnut Street. Just last Sunday, we celebrated our final Sunday in The Palace Theatre - after 217 Sundays since our Launch in 2010. Now, we begin the next chapter in the history of The Chapel at Lockport.

At this point, we are putting on the finishing touches, and it's beginning to feel more like home. Signage is being installed right now throughout the building, identifying each space for its purpose. The Worship Center will be completed before the day is over: we'll vacuum the entire room one more time and set up our brand new chairs. In King's World, we are inflating the bounce house in the play area and preparing Sunday's curriculum for each specific age group. And wait till you see what we've been cooking up in the Shine! Theatre, Game Room, and Breakout Room. When you see what Jon Grimaldi and his team put together, you'll be floored.

Shine! Game Room

I know many of you have been so faithful in praying for this process, and we are definitely realizing the blessing of your prayers. Please continue to ask God to protect us and guide us in these last few hours. We want Sunday to be as distraction-free as possible so that people can hear and see the Gospel. Even though we've tested and re-tested all of our systems, and even though we've looked at each room from top to bottom, we don't want anything to stand in the way of what God wants to do on June 1st. So please: continue to pray.

I can't wait to update you next week on what happened during the First Day at 25 Walnut. Even though much of the renovating is complete, this blog will keep going (at least for the time being...details to come). See you Sunday at 9:15 or 11:15!
